TOOTH ENAMEL & WHITENING
Enamel is a very hard, white to off-white, highly calcified substance that protects the tooth by acting as a barrier. Chewing, biting, crunching, and grinding all wear down the enamel of your teeth. Even though enamel is a tough layer that protects teeth, it can break and crack. Enamel also protects teeth from harmful temperatures and toxins.

Modern Porosity Measurement Techniques
-
We use very specific light-waves
-
Our lenses use a precise autofocus system
-
A superior sensor registers all reflected light except the type absorbed by the pores.
-
A smart internal processor analyzes the amount of reflected light to determine average measurements of enamel porosity in 4-5 seconds.

How Can It Help You?
MAIN ADVANTAGES FOR DENTISTS

TIME
01
We produce
an instant and exact analysis of the enamel porosity, allowing the dentist to make decisions right away, without the need to send patients to the lab.
PRECISE
02
The precision
of the analysis helps the dentist make a knowledgeable
and reasoned decision
about whether to proceed with teeth whitening.

SAFE
03
In case it isn’t safe to follow through with the procedure, the cause will be clear to the patient. If there is no reason for concern, the dentist can follow-though

ONLY SAFE MEDICAL-GRADE COMPONENTS
Adjustable head
for convenience of application
We designed pCheck with ergonomics in mind. The scanner head rotates 45 degrees to prevent wrist injury and improve the dentist’s ability to position the device. pCheck can scan teeth whether the patient is sitting straight, reclined, or lying down. The monitor will always face the doctor for ease of reading the results.

pCheck results show mean ICC values in the 0.93-0.965 range, making accuracy +-0.035 of ICC value*
Medical grade plastic
Ultraviolet disinfection or chemical sanitization

*The intraclass correlation coefficient is a measure of reliability, specifically the reliability of two different raters to measure subjects similarly. ICC values less than 0.5 are indicative of poor reliability, values between 0.5 and 0.75 indicate moderate reliability, values between 0.75 and 0.9 indicate good reliability, and values greater than 0.9 indicate excellent reliability.
-
How quickly can I see the results of the check?Your dentist will receive feedback on our device withing 4-5 seconds
-
Does this device require a change of battery?Yes. It works up to 100 hours on a single AA battery.
-
Is the laser safe?Yes, it is harmless to you and your teeth, the light is only strong enough to measure the number of rays that reflects at the device.
-
Can I use this device on myself? While the device requires no medical training, a trained medical professional will have a better understanding of the results, therefore self-examination is not suggested.
-
Is it capable of accessing hard to reach areas of the mouth?Yes, thanks to the ergonomic rotating head, it is possible to scan teeth that are difficult to access. PCheck is compact and lightweight, making it easy to use.
-
How to read PCheck results?PCheck shows results as Intraclass Correlation Coefficient. This is a measure of reliability, specifically the reliability of two different raters to measure subjects similarly. ICC values less than 0.5 are indicative of poor reliability, values between 0.5 and 0.75 indicate moderate reliability, values between 0.75 and 0.9 indicate good reliability, and values greater than 0.90 indicate excellent reliability.
-
How do I ensure that the device is properly sanitized between use?PCheck is made of medical grade plastic that is capable of withstanding ultraviolet disinfection or chemical sanitization.
-
What training is provided for new users of the scanner? We provide comprehensive online tutorials and can arrange for in-person training sessions upon request.
-
Are there any subscription fees or updates required for the scanner software? The scanner comes with a one-time purchase price, which includes all necessary software updates for the first year.
-
How does P-Check ensure the accuracy and calibration of the scanner over time? Our scanners are equipped with self-calibration features and we offer guidelines on routine checks to maintain accuracy.
HOW IT WORKS
01
Turn on the device by pressing a button.
During the first boot-up, it will enter calibration mode. After the first activation, this mode can be turned on by pressing the button twice.
Power On
03
During the enamel evaluation, the device will recognize when it is pressed up against a surface. For proper evaluation, the tip of the device must remain in contact with the surface for approximately 2-3 seconds each. This should be repeated in multiple areas to ensure accuracy.
Measuring
02
When calibrating the device, place the tip of the device against a mirror and quickly press the button once. Then point the device into the air or a dark space and quickly press the button again
Calibrating
04
After the necessary number of evaluations are done, the monitor on the device will display an average level of porosity present in the patient’s teeth. It will turn off automatically after one minute.
